Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Nairobi

After arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, we’ll be met by a Jumanji staff and driven to the Boma Hotel in Nairobi where we shall spend the night.

Meal Plan: Dinner
Accommodation: The Boma Hotel

Day 2 - Day 3Maasai Mara National Reserve, Mara Entim Camp

Shortly after breakfast we shall wend our way to the Wilson Airport in Nairobi and fly to the Maasai Mara Reserve. The Mara Entim crew on ground will shortly whisk us away to the camp.

For the next 2 nights we shall immerse ourselves in rich unspoiled African wilderness with high notes of luxury.

Masai Mara National Reserve

The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife parks. The greater Maasai Mara Reserve offers unparalleled game viewing opportunities; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles, and eland to mention just a few. Add Maasai warriors and the conversation need go no further.  Aside from traditional open game drive vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and is available as an optional activity.

Over the next few days, we shall have exclusive game drives around the Mara in our sturdy beautiful 4*4 vehicles. The best photo moments are captured during games drives – so stay alert

Entim Mara

Entim is designed to give you the friendliest, most intimate, luxury safari camp experience and the best wildlife safari in the Maasai Mara. The word ‘tent’ does not really do justice to the 12 new luxury en-suite guest rooms raised on wooden decks overlooking the Mara River. Handsomely decorated using earthy tones, there is a seamless flow from inside to outside and down to the river. Watch animals moving to and from the river from your private lounge and veranda, or during scrumptious meals at our open-fronted dining deck

Sundowner Hill is about 15 minutes’ drive from Entim Camp, and it is our favorite place to stop for drinks and snacks to watch the sun go down. As the daylight fades and no-one else is around, it feels like the Maasai Mara is our own private wilderness.

You will never realize how different Maasai life is from your own until you visit a Maasai village. As the village lies outside the National Reserve an hour from camp, your game drive is en-route to the village. Bring cash as the ladies display all sorts of crafts for sale, including colorful ethnic beadwork. Ask your guide about protocols of taking photographs.

Looking for that “perfect” wildlife shot? You might just get it at Entim! Our driver-guides are skilled in finding the action and putting you in the right position to take the shot you’ve always wanted. You can download and edit your images in our iMac Photo Studios, free up storage space, post onto social media then can get out there for the next great shot.

At the Cliff each tent is built on solid foundations at the edge of the cliff, and faces the lake, allowing guests 180-degree views of the panoramic paradise, yet maintaining privacy. Not wanting to waste the view, the tent is spacious, and the freestanding bath looks outwards. While the exterior environment at The Cliff is pure Africa, the room interiors combine organic chic with international design to create the understated style of a modern boutique hotel.

In the late afternoon, go on a game drive with your guide, and perhaps see a leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino, or a rare Rothschild’s giraffe.
